Family Fun Night - The
West Jefferson Elementary PTA brings high quality artists to our mountain community.
Proceeds from these events are used to bring assemblies and
art education opportunities into the school.
PEAKS
Program - PEAKS
is a before and after school program offering parents and teachers
an opportunity to enrich our students with additional classes
in a variety of subjects. Past programs have included Spanish,
Computer, Web Page, Photography, Quilting, Gymnastics, and more.
Red
Ribbon Week - This is a national anti-drug awarenss campaign. Students participate in a variety of activities
which promote healthy, drug-free life choices.
Reflections
- The
Reflections Program offers students opportunities to create
works of art for fun and recognition. Students in preschool
through grade 12 are encouraged to create and submit works of
art in four areas: literature, musical composition, photography,
and the visual arts (which includes art forms such as drawing,
painting, print making, and collage).
Science
Fair - The
Science Fair offers students opportunities to learn about
science by learning through observation and sharing their results
with other science fair participants. The fair is divided into
two divisions, Division I for K-3rd grade students, and Division
II for 4th and 5th grade students.
