Membership Information

The WJE PTA invites you to join and make a difference in the education and quality of life for our children during the school year. Becoming a PTA member simply means that you support the efforts of the PTA. If you would like to attend meetings and/or volunteer for PTA sponsored events, you are welcome and encouraged!

To Join, please print out the membership form and return it with a check payable to WJE PTA for $12 for the first family member and $6.00 for each additional family member who joins.  You can return the form in your child’s Friday folder, bring it to the school office, or mail it to the school.

We certainly encourage all parents (dads included!), grandparents, teachers, staff and community members to join us.  Remember, you do not have to have a child at WJE in order to join.  Of your membership fee, $5.75 goes to county, state, and national PTAs.  The remainder stays here at WJE.

Purchasing a PTA membership is simple way to support your local PTA in addition to Colorado State and National PTA. Although anyone can attend PTA meetings, membership gives you voting rights within the meetings and a voice in the overall direction of the PTA. Becoming a member also allows you to join the board or fill a committee chair position. Although we encourage all volunteers to become members, membership is not required to volunteer nor is volunteering your time required for membership.
