Fundraising Overview
The
West Jefferson Elementary PTA sponsors fundraisers
at WJE each year. Proceeds from these fundraisers provide
the revenue to support student and family activities
throughout the school year:

Web-site
development and maintenance for the school and hosting for the
PTA site

Dinners
for teachers during parent conferences

Sunshine
Fund, a community outreach program
In addition to these activities the PTA has a school support fund which is gifted to the school. The school uses these funds to:
- Support the Literacy program
- Improve Support the L.I.C. (Learning Information Center comprised of the library and computer lab)
- Provide classroom support

Fundraisers at WJE

go toward school assemblies, enrichment programs, newsletter
printing costs, and PTA operating expenses.

go toward the School Support Fund (LIC, literacy program,
and classroom expense reimbursement).
Passive
Fundraisers at WJE (at no cost to you!)
West Jefferson Elementary participates in a variety of passive fund-raising programs which cost you nothing. These programs earn either credits or cash for the school by collection coupons or providing shopping rebates. We encourage all families to participate in at least one of the programs. Make it a family effort by recruiting grandparents and friends!
Staff Fundraisers
The WJE staff holds their own fundraisers to help finance technology and meet other needs they have throughout the school year. This allows the staff the ability to earn funds for areas in direct need that is not supported by the school budget. The staff fundraisers are:
- Walk-a-thon held in September
